Equinox Dance Company 2 Hour Free Class!

Anyone 18 years of age and older is invited to join Equinox Dance Company in a free 2-hour class on Sunday, August 30th from 10 am until 12 pm.  

This class will count as your audition if you are interested in being part of Equinox Dance Company.  For those auditioning, at least 3 years of dance training is preferred. 

This class will consist of contemporary technique work, learning and creating new movement and improvisation.

Spend a relaxing afternoon ( rain or shine) with your dog and family at the nerby Linganore Winecellar and enjoy wine tasting, food, entertain,ent, pet games and demonstrations for you and your dog!

Musical entertainmet will be provided by Debbie Williams and the City Slickers band.  Visit More than over 20 vendors of unique pet products and services including natural foods, pet education, search and rescue demos, nutrition information and therapy pets. 

You can register online in advance at, Registration is $22.50 per person and children under the age of 12 will receive free admission.  Proceeds will benefit the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County, a no-kill group addressing pet overpopulation and will also provide vital services to animals and families.

Old-Fashioned Pancake Breakfast

Meadow Branch Church is having their first Old-Fashioned Breakfast of the 2015 Fall season on Saturday, September 12 from 6am until 10 am.

There will be three types of pancakes served: Oatmeal, buckwheat & buttermilk. There will also be scrambled eggs, sausage, homefries, biscuits, puddings, sausage and gravy, stewed apples and hot & cold beverages. In addition there will be a bake table and a craft table.

You will not want to miss the best pancakes in town so mark your calendars for future breakfsts in 2015 which will be held on the second Saturday of each month through December.

There is a suggested donation of $8.00 for anyone over 12 years old and $3.00 for children ages 6-12.  Children under theage of 5 may eat for free.

Trainfest Summer 2015

The Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum will host a Trainfest and Model Train Sale to promote the hobby and raise funds to continue hte restoration of the historic Antietam Station in Sharpsburg.

THe Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1937 and is active in promotion the hobby to the general public.  This was formed as a charitable, educational, literary, historical, scientific and technological society and museum to promote the  importance o f railroading to Hagerstown and surrounding communities.

Cinderella's Closet

Dreams come true at "Cinderella's Closet!"

Consider WHS PTSA "Cinderella's Closet" when you begin your search for the perfect outfit at the perfect price for Homecoming, recitals and other special occasions.

Cinderella's Closet will include 500 dresses that are just like new ranging from junior to women sizes at a reasonable price between $5-$35.  There will also be functionable accessories available for under $10.

Cinderella's Closet will take place on Friday, September 18th from 6pm-9pm and then again on Saturday, September 19th from 10 am until 2pm.

Joshua's Hands Fall Festival

We'll have an old fashioned Spelling Bee, entertianment, hay rides, crafts, three-legged races, live music, demonstrations, a petting farm and so much more! Our carnival style games are always a hit - everyone wins prizes. This is a celebration for kids of ALL ages - the young and the young at heart! Adults will particularly enjoy the auction at 2pm. An Evening on the Riviera

An Evening on the Riviera is Frederick County's premier food and wine charity event and it is back this year! Voted as the best charity/social event by the readers of Frederick Magazine in 2014 and 2015, An Evening on the Riviera was established with the sole purpose of raising money for other charities. 

The 2015 and 2016 events will be in partnership with the Fort Detrick Alliance and will benefit the needs of local Veterans, active and former service men and women and their families. 

This is an elegant dinner with dancing beginning with an hors d'oeuvre and wine reception followed by a 4-course dinner.  

There will be live entertainment provided by Cloud 9 and Dancing under the starts.

There will also be a silent auction featuring art, jewelry, travel, sports, spa retreats and more! 

Tickets are $125.00 per person.  Food and wine are included with admission tickets.  Guest must be at least 21 years to attend this event!
