Come out and join the Frederick High School Girls Cross Country team for their 6th Annual Headless Horseman 5k Run/Walk & 1K Fun Run kicking off at Frederick High School stadium. Come dressed in your best Halloween Costume! (optional)

Check in at 12p at the Frederick High School Track.

1k Run starts at 1:30p.......5k start 2p

Awards will be given out for the best scary, most creative, best combo costume for the 5k  and  for the1k the cutest, most creative, best parent/child combo costume.

An Evening with Claire McCardell

Come enjoy the fun at the Historical Society of Frederick County as they host, "An Evenign with Claire McCardell".

"An Evening with Claire McCardell", is an exciting exhibition featuring original designs from the exlusive McCardell collection at the Historical Society of Frederick County.  

This will be a joint exhibition in partnership with the Carrollton Manor Daughters of the American Revolution that will begin on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 and continue through Sunday November 16th, 2014.  

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 am until 4 pm.  There will be a private wine and cheese reception held from 4 pm- 6 pm that will include a presentation on the significance of McCardell's legendary work in American fashion. 

An interesting part of the exhibition will be the "downsizing" of a McCardell design to fit an American Girl Doll.  The downsizing dress will later be dontated to the National Daughters of the American Revolution 2015 National Junior Doll Project Fund, which encompasses a variety of special needs programs and scholarships at DAR approved schools.

All You Can Eat Roast Pork Dinner

Come out to the Taneytown All You can Eat Roast Pork Dinner.  Held at Baust Chruch Parish Hall, there will be a bake table with pantry and miscellaneous items.  Carryout will also be available.

Mother Seton School Take- a- Tour Tuesday

On November 4th, 10am-1pm and 4:30pm- 6:30pm come see why children thrive academically and spiritually at Mother Seton School. Country Butchering

The Wolfsville Ruritan Club will be sponsoring a Country Butchering on November 7th from 5-7pm and November 8th from 8-11am at the Wolfsville Ruritan Community Park. Glade United Church of Christ Fall Dinner

Come join us at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Hall for the Glade United Church of Christ Fall Dinner starting November 7 from 4pm- 7pm and ending November 8 from 12pm-5pm. The menu that is served will be turkey, fried oysters, and ham dinner with all the fixings. Make sure to visit the craft and bake tables while you are there! Veteran's Day Program

To show our appreciation for military veterans, Mother Seton School will honor veterans in a special ceremony and presentation on Veteran's Day. Color Guard from American Legion Post 121 in Emmitsburg will be present, as will a special veteran guest speaker, and the performance of Taps. Mother Seton School Fall 5k Run/ Walk

On November 8th at Mount Saint Mary's Waldron Stadium come join us in a 5k Run/ Walk in the scenic Catoctin Mountains. The 100 meter Kid Dash starts at 8:50 am and the 5k starts at 9am. Onsite registration 7:45am - 8:45 am. Register by October 31 and receive a free tee- shirt. The 5K is $25 per adult 18 & over, $15 w/ college ID, $15 under 18 and the Kid Dash is $5 per child (age 7 & under). See or email for more information and to register.

Grace Church Annual Christmas Bazaar

Come to the Grace Episcopal Church Bazaar on November 15 form 9am to 4pm. There will be 10-15 vendors, large silent auction, crafts, raffles, bake sale, Santa, kids crafts/ face painting, and much more! The silent auction will close at 3pm. Hope to see you there!

A Toast to the Holidays

Mother Seton School Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Bazaar

Come join us at Mother Seton School to have a pancake breakfast with Santa and walk over to the Christmas Bazaar to shop our crafters and vendors for that unique holiday gift. Santa Claus will be there to take photos with your children, so skip the mall lines and see him here! Door prizes, raffles, and Christmas Carols will get you in the spirit. Also, a Kid's Bazaar with tons of gifts for the little ones to buy for their families under $10. Admission to the Bazaar is free. Pancake Breakfast is $7/ ages 7+, $5/ ages 3-6, and FREE for ages 2 and under. Vendor space is still available for $25 for up to two tables! "The Wonder of Christmas" Concert

The National Christian Choir is inviting you to "The Wonder of Christmas" concert performed by the 170 auditioned voice choir, the NCC Children's Christmas Choir and a full orchestra!

This event will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at Immanuel's Church in Silver Spring.  There will be two showings. The first will take place at 1 pm, followed by a second performance at 5 pm.
