Law Day at the Frederick County Senior Centers

Law Day will be held at various Frederick County Senior Centers on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Members of the Bar Association of Frederick County will assist senior citizens with the completion of their Medical Advance Directives and Living Wills.  Each senior will have an individual 30 minute appointment with an attorney. 

All legal services will be provided free of charge!

Potomac Playmakers- Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None"

The Potomac Playmakers proudly present the classic Agatha Christie murder mystery, "And Then There Were None!" The excitement never lets up in this compelling mystery!  Produced by a special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. and directed by Wanda Dittman, "And Then There Were None!" stars Gerry McCarney, Barbara Huwe, Al Gardner, Barbara McCormick, Tod Williams, Jim Zuna, Barry Harbaugh, Nic Sigman, Jayn Stewart, Greg Berezuk and Tom Doty.

The show runs from May 13th through May 15th at The Women's Club, 31 S. Prospect Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.  Friday and Saturday's shows will start at 8pm, Sunday's show will start at 3pm.

Community Yard Sale and Vendor Show

Vindobona Spring Clean Out Community Yard Sale and Vendor Show is happening on Saturday, May 14th from 9 am until 3pm all to benefit Alzheimer's Care Giver Grant.

All proceeds from space rental will go to this grant that is given to families who care for family members with Alzheimers.  Donated items are also being accepted to sell for the cause.

Bark in the Park

Bring your furry pup friends to the Bark in the Park event on May 14th from 10 am until 2 pm.  There will be open off leash areas, an agility course for your dog to run and there will also be a doggie fashion show at noon with prizes!

There will be training and obedience demonstrations as well as exhibits and vendors to browse. 

There is a fee of $5 per dog and a limit to 2 dogs per owner.

Toys for Tots Golf Tournament

Fountain Head Golf Club and local area US Marines are getting an early start on the Christmas season and the Toys for Tots 2016 campaign. 

The need and demand grows every year for those less fortunate.  Please help bring smiles to those children's faces on Christmas morning!

Toys for Tots Golf Tournament is a 4 person scramble at the cost of $125 per player.  The entrance fee includes round of golf, golf cart, range balls, on course contests, prizes, lunch off the grill and awards.

Lunch off the grill will be served at 11:30 am and the Tournament will begin at 1pm.

Swine, Wine and Roses

Come out and smell the roses, sip some wine, sample craft beers and chow down on award winning BBQ!  

Spend the day at this idyllic 30 acre historic farmstead where you can have Hempen Hill BBQ and wines from Jan Zell Winery, Buddy Boy Vineyard & Winery and Tuscarora Mountain Winery as well as Roy Pitz Co. craft beers.  Enjoy blue grass and Americana music, living history and hundreds of bushes of antique roses throughout the site! This grand event will be held at the Concocheague Institute on Saturday May 21st from 10 am until 5pm and extend to Sunday May 22nd from 12pm until 4pm.

Railroad Heritage Days

Come join the fun at Hub City's annual tribute to railroad heritage!  Enjoy the two day event featuring three locations of fun activities and entertainment for kids and adults!  Visit the City Park Railroad Museum for train displays. 

There will also be a rock climbing wall, inflatables, rides and great food! 

Admission allows entry to all three sites.  Adults: $7 Kids (ages 4-12) $1 Kids under the age 3 are free. A free shuttle is provided between locations.

Enjoy an evening of local cuisine, bar and wine and other beverages.  There will be a live DJ and performances by local bands.  There will be a silent auction. 

All the proceeds of this event will benefit the Berkeley County Humane Society.  All-inclusive for $40.  The meal will be served then, Bingo will start at 7pm.
