11th Annual Freezin’ for a Reason

Freezin’ for a Reason is a Polar Bear Plunge to Benefit Frederick Special Olympics, BEACON, and the Brunswick Food Bank
Sunday January 1st, 2017 at the Brunswick Area Campground.
- Participants donate a minimum of $25 the day of the event. Have your friends, neighbors and coworkers sponsor your plunge.

Participants must remain in the water up to 15 seconds. Costumes are encouraged the day of the event. This is a family friendly event and we have seen families and groups dressed in themed costumes. Sneakers, water shoes, or boots must be worn in the river – no bare feet are allowed. There will be a private changing area. The day of the event there will be t-shirts (first come first serve), hot drinks, light lunch, and door prizes.
The event registration is noon, the plunge starts at 1:00 pm. Children must be at least 16 years old or accompanied by an adult to enter the river. The bad weather date is January 8.
