Garden Conservancy Open Days

$7The Garden Conservancy, an international organization that works to preserve and restore notable gardens, is coming to Frederick County! On Saturday, June 2nd, the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program is featuring the gardens of six noteworthy properties in Frederick, Middletown, and Myersville. Explore and experience these beautiful landscapes at your leisure, or enjoy a guided tour that some are offering. Tickets are $7 per garden at the door or online. All proceeds benefit the Garden Conservancy.
High Glen Gardens

High Glen Gardens is a young, 64-acre private estate at the base of the Catoctin Mountains with ten acres of impressive formal gardens, a grand allée of bur oaks, an earth sculpture of warm-season grasses, a wetland, and a newly-reforested woodland.
Edgewood Garden

Rausch Woodland Gardens

Basford Family Garden

Digging In The Garden!
At High Glen Gardens in Frederick, Executive Director Peter Couchman and staff will offer free, hourly guided tours of the formal gardens as well as the natural areas under development, such as the wetland, woodland, and earth sculptures. At Surreybrooke in Middletown, staff members will lead informative discussions on the unique plantings as well as the history of the gardens, outbuildings, and the Civil War-era house.
