Summerfest Family Theatre Series |
Bring the kids to Baker park for fun and entertainment every Thursday. Volunteer Frederick- Energy Action House Calls Kic |
SummerServe, is conducting household energy efficiency improvements to Community Living homes. The kickoff is Thursday July 8 from 9: 00am– 12:30pm at 1807 Meadowgrove Ln. in Frederick. SummerServe is Volunteer Frederick's summer youth service learning program. Participants ages 11-17, Energy Auditors from Atlas Energy Home Solutions, Community Living Inc. reps will conduct 5 Energy Action House Calls on Community Living homes. The Energy Action House Calls program will engage youth in energy conservation home improvements such as insulating water heaters and pipes, sealing chimneys and attics, installing outlet gaskets and replacing incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs, etc. to decrease utility costs. Community Living Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides homes for people with developmental disabilities. With lower household utility costs Community Living will use the money saved to implement more enriching activities for their program residents.

The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company #11 will hold its annual carnival through Saturday, July 10th at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department Activities Complex on West Frederick St in Walkersville. Alive @ Five |
Alive @ Five 2010 will take place Thursday, July 8th from 5pm - 8pm. This happy hour event includes music, food, beer and wine from downtown restaurants, and is held the second and fourth Thursday of each month from through September 9th at the Carroll Creek Park Amphitheatre between Market and Carroll Streets in downtown Frederick.
