Chicago: Teen Edition is an adapted, high-energy musical set in the roaring 1920s that follows Roxie Hart, a chorus girl with dreams of stardom who murders her unfaithful lover. After tricking her husband, Amos, into taking the blame, she is sent to Cook County Jail, where she encounters her idol and rival, Velma Kelly, a vaudeville star who killed her own husband and sister. Roxie and Velma become rivals for the spotlight and the services of Billy Flynn, a slick lawyer who specializes in turning murderers into celebrities. With the help of the matron, Mama Morton, and the media, Roxie and Velma manipulate the justice system and the public to chase fame, fortune, and acquittal.
