Shepherdstown School of Dance presents ‘The Nutcracker’ Ballet

Celebrate the season with Shepherdstown School of Dance as they present their annual performances of The Nutcracker at the Frank Center for the Performing Arts at Shepherd University. Nearly seventy performers from the school, and community, will take the stage to tell the classic tale of a young girl’s Christmas dreams come to life.
Joining the cast once again this year, in the role of the Nutcracker Prince, and cavalier to the Sugar Plum Fairy, is Ballet San Antonio dancer Mayim Stiller. Mr. Stiller began his training at Oregon Ballet Academy under the direction of John Grensback, and continued his training at Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Professional Division and the School of American Ballet. He began his professional career with the Los Angeles Ballet, and is currently in his third year dancing with Ballet San Antonio.
The audience will be transported into a beloved magical world with a Christmas trees that grows, snow that falls, giant mice battling with life size toy soldiers, and dancing Sugar Plums. A Christmas tradition not to be missed!
